thanks then much, you are the best!

I already wrote it in the Unifi Controller thread.
Today morn the unifi controller and video worked. I did the QNAP security update and now both Apps wont run. Page does non leave my browsers say.
QDJK, Controller and Video uninstalled and installed without errors. No outcome. All the other Apps (pyload, plex, etc.) piece of work without any trouble.

Any hint?

edit: if I start it on the console it works

Thanks a lot for the three.9.11 update. My photographic camera is at present recognised and generally everything works fine. The only upshot I have encountered is that when trying to change the system configuration an error is generated saying:

"Validation Failed. /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/UnifiVideo/data/videos - path is non accessible. Delight right permisions or buying and try once more."

Addionally, or because of that error in saving, when trying to save the system configuration settings, I cannot become any change to the NVR name or more critically "time-based purging", or "space to keep settings" to really stick.

unifi-video.jpg

I am guessing this is something due to the way qpkgs work and the paths they can admission, or where their settings are stored, or the user they run as... but I don't have expertise in that sort of thing.

I do see some people encountering similar on Synology and dockers:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Ubiquiti/comme ... _in_unifi/

Maybe related to this?
"The virtually important thing to know on Linux is that the owner and group of anything UniFi Video will be reading/writing is "unifi-video"

Validation Failed, path is not accessible, please correct permissions or ownership.

I have tried to find the advanced folder permissions merely take not had any success.

Cheers

Thanks for the update. Am having some issues though I am agape.....

- Updated from the qnapclub repo and restarted, the qpkg was installed only was not accessible from the GUI.
- Uninstalled and re-installed but same issue.
- Installed the qpkg manually and manged to become it running, got the photographic camera adopted. The specific consequence we had near the permissions did seem resolved - I was able to change the recordings path and the time-based purging without getting that fault.
- But then subsequently a while it stopped responding.
- Uninstalled and renstalled from the repo once again, restarted the machine but the aforementioned trouble - the GUI is not accessible. When I look at the activity monitor I exercise not see any unifi video process running at all.
...I am still doing some more than testing, am hoping to resolve.... merely this information just FYI.

I managed to become information technology all working again by installing the package manually, and got information technology set upwardly with the camera recording. Simply it does not seem to survive a reboot of the QNAP machine.
